OUR AIMS:
We are a small stud aiming to produce quality, but affordable
registered horses, who will excel in any discipline. We are looking
not for just a pretty face, but a handy horse that can be taken into
a show ring, do all ASH workouts or be ridden at a local pony club,
a horse that has potential to campdraft, cut or showjump, and also
poke around and have fun on. We believe temperament is a very
important key to having a successful all round performance horse.
SHORT HISTORY OF "KUDALARI"
1998 - Our stud became a reality with the purchase of an old ASH
stallion, Careys True Love from Mr Harold Carey from Wee
Jasper. Broodmares with the bloodlines of Abbey, Rivoli Ray,
Marena Karioca and Red Rock Limey were purchased from
a local dealer under very fortunate circumstances (for me).
1999 - We saw the first crop of foals hit the ground and the
breeding continued into -
2003 with Careys True Love - until he was
no longer required for breeding due to his age of 25 years. In all,
20 live foals were born and registered with Careys True Love
as their sire at "Kudalari". This number is not including the
outside mares that he also serviced.
2001 - A gangly black/brown yearling colt by the name of Ronola
Amaroo was purchased from Ron and Nola Nicholson from Nowendoc.
This colt has turned into an attractive ASH stallion with an
exceptional temperament.
2004 - Saw the first crop of Ronola Amaroo's foals on the
ground. These foals are showing all the qualities we have been
thriving for. 2004 also saw the arrival of Kudalari Noble Prince
- a quality palomino quarter horse colt by Nobility (Sire:
Noble TKO - IMP) who will be retained as a future sire.
Kudalari Noble Prince, affectionally nicknamed "Willie"
has had a great impact on our ideas of breeding and what we are
thriving for. Not only does he have looks, temperament and colour
for the show ring but he also carries cutting bloodlines of War
Creek (IMP) and War Leo (USA).
2005 - Willie's show career kicked off
with him as a weanling - he takes out Supreme Champion Western Horse
at Gunning Show. Stud duties continues for Ronola Amaroo.
2006 - Willie takes out Supreme Champion
Led Palomino at Royal Canberra Show which is added to his other huge
show performances. His breeding program was started.
2007- Willie starts competing as a 2 year old HUS and wins at his first
outing. He continued to win High Point 2 yr old HUS at the ACT & NSW AQHA Presentation night.
